General Questions/New to Joomla! 5.x • mysql or mariadb?

To upgrade my website from Joomla 4 to 5 I need to install a new database on the host. I have the choice between Mysql 8.0 and MariaDb 10.6.
(My current database is Mysql 5.7)
What does Joomla recommend ?
